About Me

I have developed a wealth of experience and knowledge in working with animals and their owners over the past 18 years of my career. I started my career as a Veterinary Nurse over 15 years ago, and quickly found my interest and passion for the emotional wellbeing and behaviour of animals.

Alongside nursing I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to shadow, and be mentored by many of the leading trainers and behaviourists in the Bristol area.

In 2022 I left clinical practice to work with an assistance dog charity as a Training and Behaviour Advisor.

I use reward based training to teach your dog desirable behaviours, and a kind and ethical approach to resolve behaviour and training issues. I am passionate about helping animals that are fearful of the vets and groomers, by teaching pets how to participate in their own veterinary care, with coach owners how to team up their pet in co-operating in their own daily care and handling for essential procedures such as grooming, ear and eye drops, nails clip, vaccinations and blood samples.

I live in South Gloucestershire with my 3 cats Kizzy, Forrest Gump, Mango and the Benji the Yorkshire Terrier who came into my life after he was signed over to a veterinary practice to be euthanised due to his reactive behaviour. Benji now often joins me in rehabilitating other dogs as a helper dog.
